The Western District Hockey Club is so proud of Anand Gupte and his selection in the Kookaburras 17 squad. We are thrilled to see the years of dedication  and effort has paid off for Anand. What a journey Anand has had, starting his hockey journey in the u11s team with Wests 15 years ago,  representing ACT at Australian National Championships, being selected for the Burras and representing Australia at a junior level. Anand played Seniors for Wests also playing for the Canberra Lakers and the Canberra Chill, making the Kookaburras extended squad in 2023 and touring to India.  After a cracker of a Hockey One tournament, he has been recognised with his selection in the Australian first 17 squad.

Congratulations Anand!!  We look forward to watching you playing for Australia 🇦🇺
